For reminding someone to do something they said they would do. “Sorry, but any chance you could return that _______ you borrowed?”

For having an opinion. “Sorry, but I think …”

For not responding to someone immediately. “Sooooo sorry for not getting back to you sooner!”

For having an emotional reaction to something. “Sorry, I don’t know what came over me!

For trying to get a salesclerk or server’s attention. “Sorry, but can I get the check?”
