STOP APOLOGIZING!

Women are notorious apologizers. We apologize for EVERYTHING. In fact, studies have shown that women are 37% more likely to apologize than men – most of the time for things that we should not have been sorry about.

Here are some things we need to stop apologizing for … NOW:

For taking vacation days and sick days. “Sorry, would it be OK if I took next Friday off?”

For not looking like a super model all the time. “Sorry, I’m in sweats and my hair is a mess.”

For reminding someone to do something they said they would do. “Sorry, but any chance you could return that _______ you borrowed?”

For having an opinion. “Sorry, but I think …”

For not responding to someone immediately. “Sooooo sorry for not getting back to you sooner!”

For having an emotional reaction to something. “Sorry, I don’t know what came over me!

For trying to get a salesclerk or server’s attention. “Sorry, but can I get the check?”

For ordering “just” a diet soda. “Sorry, can I just have a Diet Coke?” (Pure Wow)
